I’m closing this one down because I’m moving my internet presence away from google based accounts. My new account is burner based so I can sign in to oppo on duck duck go.

Just curious, why are you ridding yourself of Google? I use my gmail for everything, and it stresses me out thinking of ditching that.

I mean, I can think of plenty of reasons, namely creepy tracking and privacy concerns... but yeah, I’m curious.

Primarily the data tracking and privacy issues. I’m moving towards encrypted browsing and email, but I’m not certain if I’ll change my email entirely yet.

I honestly haven’t even looked into that aspect of it. I have 3 gmail accounts for separate uses, but all my work stuff is on our own domain so that wouldn’t be an issue.
